Diamond Day Gardens

Bringing sustainable garden care and design to Calgary and surrounding areas.

Calgary Gardener

Meet Your Gardener

Anne is a Certified Horticultural Technician. She studied Landscape Design at the University of Guelph and completed an apprenticeship in Horticulture at Humber College in 2020. She spent the first seven years of her gardening career working in Toronto, before returning to her hometown, Calgary.

She believes that gardens bring character to our homes and communities, and connect us with nature. She is inspired by the naturalistic style and philosophy of the New Perennial Movement and designers such as Nigel Dunnett and Piet Oudolf.

What We Do

  • Calgary is a city of many microclimates, each with its own challenges and opportunities. When designing your garden, we take both your lifestyle and location into consideration to create a landscape that will thrive in place. We prioritize sustainable materials and native plants as we create our designs. Visit our Instagram page for examples of our work.

  • Diamond Day Gardens uses sustainable horticultural practices to care for your garden. Maintenance plans are developed by an experienced horticulturalist to target the unique needs of your space. Get in touch to book a free consultation.

  • We design planter arrangements for every season, using natural materials.

    How to order a planter:

If you have a pot you’d like to use for your planter, send us a photo along with the width of the planting area. If you need a pot, just let us know.

Tell us your colour and style preferences. Visit our Instagram page for examples of our work.

Once we’ve gathered the above details, we will send you an estimate.

  • Coaching sessions provide you with the tools you need to get the job done yourself. Anne will assist you with plant identification, tips on plant care, soil amendments, and design ideas. Each session is tailored to your space and your needs.

  • Garden staging combines garden design with an understanding of real estate photography to improve curb appeal with high-impact, low-cost changes to the landscape. This can mean pruning and weeding to improve the visibility of a home’s exterior or adding plants and planters to mask unattractive features. Get in touch to learn more about how we can get your garden photo ready.
